Full day Pre-K 4 is having a very exciting year here at Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School! We recently celebrated St. Patrick’s Day and the beginning of Lent in our classroom. We are learning about our Lenten journey to build a stronger relationship with God through kind acts
and prayer. As Lent continues and we prepare for Easter, we are learning more about Jesus and the love He has for all of us.
We are looking forward to the start of spring this week and all the fun activities it will bring. We recently started a lesson on living and non-living things. To bring this lesson into spring, we will be learning about plants and how they grow. In the next few weeks, we will be planting our own
flowers here in the classroom. We look forward to caring for them and watching them grow.
We will also be learning about the lifecycle of caterpillars and butterflies. We will have a chance to have our own caterpillars in the classroom and watch them turn into butterflies. We are very excited for all of our hands-on activities and look forward to seeing how they turn out.
The students love doing hands-on activities that correlate to our lessons. The activities really help to solidify the knowledge they are learning in a fun and exciting way. Allowing the children to care for their own plants and animals gives them a great sense of pride and responsibility.
