physical and earth science.

Kindergarten students see the world from different perspectives. They begin to understand the need for rules and learn about people in their immediate world and in other countries. Children study families, school environment, their community, state, country and world and incorporate geography and mapping. Attitudes toward good citizenship and social responsibility are emphasized. National and local historical figures, economics, sequence of events, holidays and work skills are included.
Math
Kindergarten Mathematics focuses on counting and operations, as well as measurement and geometry. Students will use manipulatives and experience hands-on activities to learn concepts in mathematics.
Social/Emotional Skills
Social development is a huge part of growing up. Children learn so much throughout childhood both socially and emotionally that is carried with us into adulthood. Kindergarten helps children prepare for ongoing success in school. It is the place where children learn to work with others, solve problems, communicate with peers and form friendships - all while learning basic skills that will serve as the foundation of their education. It is a BIG year!
